Fire Use with smoke detectors that will be connected to reset smoke power
to verify alarms. See Section 4.16.1 for information about smoke
detector compatibility.

Holdup To indicate a user under duress, silent and/or invisible must be
selected.
Intrusion
Emergency Non-medical emergencies. Emergency
Panic Use for manually activated request for emergency assistance. Emergency
Burglary Use with intrusion type contacts on doors, windows, etc. Intrusion
Tamper Use to indicate that the alarm equipment enclosure had been either
tampered with or opened.
Intrusion
Gas Use with carbon monoxide, radon, and other gas detection devices. Auxiliary
Undefined Use for a condition that does not fit any of the other zone types. Auxiliary
Water This zone type should be used to indicate water has been detected at
the protected premise.

Heat Use to indicate that a high temperature has been detected. Auxiliary
Cold Use to indicate that a low temperature has been detected. Fire
Sprinkler Use with sprinkler flow detectors to indicate alarm when water is
flowing.

Doorbell 1 Slow two tone (ding-dong) bell sound. Auxiliary

Key arming input Can be used with a mechanical key to arm and disarm areas common
to the zone.

The Armed and Disarmed zone responses should have one READY and one NOT READY state each, and no
ALARM states. TROUBLE states are allowed and the key input can be supervised. Each time the key input
changes from READY to NOT READY, the system will either arm or disarm the areas assigned to the zone
using the following rules: 1) If any of the assigned areas are armed, then all areas are disarmed by the key
activation. 2) If all of the assigned areas are disarmed, then all areas are armed by the key activation. The areas
must be ready to arm in order for any arming to occur.
Reserved Do not select. Auxiliary
Door monitor Select for zones that will be used with the touchpad Door Monitor
function. Door-Monitor zones should be programmed for at least one
READY and one NOT READY state. This zone type will cause an
alarm if programmed with an ALARM state.
Auxiliary
Fire contact Use with pull stations or the fire panic key. With this zone type, smoke
power does not reset when the zone is reset.
Fire
Egress input Used for door egress request switch (Exit button). Auxiliary
Sprinkler Supervisory Select for zones that will be monitoring the sprinkler shut off valve.
This zone is typically programed to cause an alarm when the system is
armed or disarmed. Trouble tones will sound on INT1 speakers and
touchpads once the zone enters the alarm region. The 4884Bell
Module will not activate for an alarm (supervisory) on this zone.
